ROBERT MACKEY Robert Jacob Mackey, 83, Calabash, NC died May 18, 2022. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on March 19, 1939, he was a son of the late Jacob Mackey and Sophie Crodella Mackey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie Marie Mackey and a brother, Richard Mackey. He was a retired Electrical Engineer and a fifty years member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Brendan, The Navigator Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC. Surviving are his wife, Roberta Rowsick Mackey; son, Kevin Mackey, Annapolis, MD; daughter, Mary Beth Duncan, Monaco; five grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 12:30 PM in Holy Family Catholic Church, Davidsonville, MD. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Along with his parents he was also predeceased by a grandson, Patrick Froehling.
