CHARLES PELLS Charles F. Pells, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. He was 75. Son of the late Charles and Harriet Lovelace Pells, he was born March 23, 1938 in Poughkeepsie. He married the former Jane M. Connelly on June 25, 1964 in Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Pells survives at home in Wappingers Falls. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. Prior to his retirement, Charles worked as a Senior Lab Technician at IBM in Poughkeepsie. He had a passion for hot rods and automobiles, providing many special memories for his family. He will be remembered as a gentle man; a good neighbor; who was always willing to give a hand to someone in need. He was a wonderful husband, great father who provided well for his family; even taking care of his mother when it was not easy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Robert Pells of Wappingers Falls and Benjamin Pells of Poughkeepsie; his cousins, Beverly and Joanne; as well as lifelong friends from IBM.
